Ang Hak Seng is an advocate for a more caring and inclusive Singapore

Dr Ang Hak Seng helps to drive the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth’s efforts in flying the flag for Singapore Cares, a national movement aimed at promoting a more compassionate and stronger Singapore community, which lends a hand to those in need via various volunteerism efforts.

In his current role, Dr Ang focuses on growing partnerships and establishing a more connected charity ecosystem. He aims to enhance the volunteer-management capabilities of the non-profit sector and increase needs-based opportunities for donation.

Dr Ang’s work experience encompasses international relations, policy development, operations and community building. He has worked in public service for more than three decades at the People’s Association, the Singapore Police Force, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Health Promotion Board. He was also previously Commissioner of Charities, a grass-roots leader in Yuhua and a councillor in South West Community Development Council for 15 years.
