Anaïs Mak founded her Paris- and Hong Kong-based label fashion label Anaïs Jourden in 2012, fresh out of fashion school Studio Berçot. She got her big break three years later, when the now-closed Parisian multi-brand store Colette picked up her collection; she is now stocked in top stores globally, from Lane Crawford to Le Bon Marché. Known for mixing playful, feminine silhouettes with masculine tailoring, she is the first Hong Kong designer to show her collections at Paris Fashion Week. She also has her own line of fine jewellery, Anaïs Emphasis, in collaboration with Emphasis Jewellery, and was responsible for designing the staff uniforms for Hong Kong’s Rosewood Hotel. In 2020, Mak wrote and produced the short film World of Realms, starring people from across the creative industries. She won Italian Vogue’s Who Is On Next emerging designer award in 2015.
