Ana Maria Aboitiz-Delgado

Executive Vice President / Chief Customer Experience & Digital Channel Officer, Unionbank of the Philippines

The fifth-generation business leader now helms the digitalisation movement at Unionbank of the Philippines

Ana Maria Aboitiz-Delgado is the daughter of the late ambassador Roberto Eduardo “Bobby” Aboitiz and his wife, Marian Aboitiz. Aboitiz-Delgado started her career after obtaining a Master’s in Business Administration from the New York University Stern School of Business. Since then, she’s climbed through her family’s business ranks, focusing mainly on its banking arm.

After a stint at Citibank, Aboitiz-Delgado found herself at Unionbank, where her contributions to digitalisation have benefited many of the institution’s local clients, especially during the pandemic when the migration to online was most needed. Since her promotion, she’s served as the executive vice president of Unionbank and addressed other roles as chief customer experience officer and digital channels officer. In 2023, she was named the new chairperson of CitySavings.

At the forefront of customer experience, Aboitiz-Delgado is in touch with the needs of the modern-day Filipino. Strides, taken under her leadership, grew UnionBank’s digital customer base through its online mobile app; she also played a vital role in signing the acquisition between Citibank N.A. and UnionBank.
