Following on from his father’s legacy, Amirsjah Risjad is leading his family’s industrial-production company Risjadson Group into its next frontier

Amirsjah Risjad’s family business Risjadson Group owns subsidiaries in an array of businesses that include palm and sugar plantation, vegetable-oil extraction, pulp and paper manufacturing, power generation, mining and project financing.

He is the son of prominent businessman Ibrahim Risjad, who formed Risjadson Holdings in 1988 along with tycoon Soedono Salim. Ibrahim has been keen on training Amirsjah, along with his brother Rizal. Thanks to his father’s business acumen, Amirsjah Risjad is now leading the company with its various subsidiaries.

Apart from taking the executive seat at the Risjad empire, Amirsjah also holds high-ranking posts at several companies with stakes in major plantation, finance and energy.

Risjad received an undergraduate degree from Northrop University in Los Angeles, California in 1985. He is also an alumnus of University of Southern California, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1989.
