Alvin Sariaatmadja

President Director, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi/Emtek Group

After winning over Indonesia’s TV viewership, Alvin Sariaatmadja is making sure his media company Emtek Group is also not trailing behind the digital revolution

At just 36, Alvin Sariaatmadja now steers the ship at the illustrious Emtek Group, which focuses on tech, media and healthcare. His father, Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja, co-founded Emtek in 1983 as the exclusive distributor of the Compaq computer.

Today, Emtek is joining the digital revolution with its investments, and work in e-commerce and e-wallet systems for Indonesia. But the company is best known for its broadcasting channels SCTV and Indosiar, the leading free-to-air networks in Indonesia, with more than 180 million loyal viewers staying tuned for the past 25 years. The media conglomerate further expanded its reach in 2018 by investing in KapanLagi Dot Com Network and various other digital-media platforms.

Last December, Sariaatmadja joined the likes of Netflix’s Chief Business Development Officer Bill Holmes and Formula One Group’s former CEO Chase Carey as a Media International Advisory Council member in Singapore.

Sariaatmadja earned law and finance degrees from the University of New South Wales in Australia in 2005.
