Allen Lai

Allen Lai has a doctorate in chemistry from the National Taiwan University and was formerly a senior engineer of solar energy at TSMC. To broaden his horizons, Allen went to UCSD in the US to enrol in the Pre MBA programme. After returning to Taiwan, he joined the family-run company Queen Ceramic Inc. where he was responsible for raw material development and foreign sales. In the process, he created Li Gong Fang, a ceramic art creation platform. Through this, Allen develops different raw material formulas to meet the needs of local ceramists and acquires their products to sell to global markets, opening up a new channel for artists to gain exposure. He is also the founder of QJ Quartz Stone, a producer or quartz surfaces and countertops. Using quartz from Sri Lanka and an expert German consultant team in kitchen cabinets and countertops, the brand broke through and sells products to European and American markets with Taiwan as its production base.
