This medical robotics pioneer is slashing the cost of machines that perform miracles

Cornerstone Robotics, co-founded by Dr Alexis Cheng with Dr Samuel Au and Dr Jerry Wang, forges accessibility in robotic surgery and aims to deliver high-quality healthcare to patients worldwide. Its flagship product, the Sentire Endoscopic Surgical System, has been used in clinical trials in areas including urology, general surgery, gynaecology and thoracic surgery. In 2025, it secured more than US$70 million in Series C funding from investors including EQT, Qiming Ventures and the Hong Kong government’s Innovation and Technology Venture Fund.
