Alan Lo has had a major role in introducing high-end casual western dining to Hong Kong and was the co-developer of Cantonese fine dining restaurant and gallery Duddell’s. He is now the senior advisor for the JIA Group, overseeing the company's investments in food technology. Also a property investor, Alan is the son of Gold Peak tycoon Victor Lo.

A keen art collector, he is also a dedicated supporter and promoter of the arts who serves on a wide range of art and culture non-profits and museum committees: he is chairman of both Design Trust and Ambassadors of Design Hong Kong, a board member of Para Site and a member of Art Basel’s Global Patrons Council, the Tate Asia Pacific Acquisition Committee. He has also been a member of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Great Pearl River Delta Business Council and the Harbourfront Commission.

Alan Lo is married to Yenn Wong, founder and CEO of JIA Group; they have three sons.
