Like any 24-year-old, it is understandable that Aisyah Aziz has had moments of self‑doubt about her talent. But she should be able to rest easy now that the very first song she co-wrote, Senyum Saja, won Best APM Song at the 2017 Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM), the regional Malay music awards show. In the same year, she was also invited to perform at another major music awards ceremony, the Mnet Asian Music Awards in Vietnam, where she took home the Best Asian Artist Singapore accolade. Through her career, the talented songstress, who released her first fully self-written song in April 2018, hopes to inspire "self-conscious girls like me to believe that with embracing yourself comes great potential".
