Ai Ling Chen provides a platform for the education of future generations
陳藹玲

Fubon Cultural and Educational Foundation chairman Ai Ling Chen, a former TV journalist, has long cared about causes that impact individuals and generations to come, pouring her efforts and resources into youth education and the environment.

Married to Ming Zhong Tsai, chairman of Fubon Group and eldest son of the country’s richest family, Ai Ling Chen has led the foundation since 1990. The foundation’s programs, which include cultural tours for teenagers, aim to awaken their creativity and teach young people to think independently and critically. The foundation provides venues to harness their potential and kindle their competitive spirit.

In 2013, Chen called on mothers to jointly set up the Mothers Supervise Nuclear Power Plant Alliance to raise awareness of the dangers of nuclear power. She made people aware of previously undisclosed information on the issue and got their voices heard.

In recent years, Chen has paid special attention to video education through Youth Voice and the Touring Film School, where she actively guides teens in achieving their goals. In 2020, the foundation launched online and offline platforms where parents and young children can enjoy high-quality short films together. In addition, “Great Food and Education Association” and the “Mom’s Climate Action Alliance” were established to link Taiwan to international organizations that can help improve children’s nutrition, environmental safety, and overall future.
