Agus Lasmono Sudwikatmono revived the family fortune after it was hit by the financial crisis, establishing the Indika Group to merge with his father’s existing business interests

When renowned Indonesian businessman Sudwikatmono’s empires were rocked during the economic crisis, his son Agus Lasmono Sudwikatmono helped rescue the family’s fortunes. Agus set up the Indika Group and consolidated the family business, entering new units and combining them with those developed by his father, including mining and energy companies.

Due to Sudwikatmono’s vast experience in the media industry, he dove into the media sector and invested in production houses, radio and TV. The Indika Group entered the coal industry in 2004. His company Net Mediatama Indonesia, where Sudwikatmono sits as President Commissioner, runs the TV station NET., which is geared towards the younger generation and veers away from the usual soap-opera offerings.

While Indika Group holds mammoth business interests in mining and natural resources, it also maintains active in the entertainment industry through its digital companies, broadcasting and even content creation.
