But Adi Reza Nugroho, who is committed to sustainability and a self-described mushroom lover, is pioneering a method that uses mushrooms and agricultural waste products to create a kind of leather that’s animal-free and kind to the planet. His startup Mycotech (MYCL) has attracted funding from the DBS Foundation, the UN’s Seed initiative and others.
