Among the few elite classical conductors in Indonesia, Addie MS has contributed enormously to the local music industry’s growth

Better known as Addie MS, the friendly conductor also founded Twilite Choir and Twilite Youth Orchestra, which formed a famous symphony group in Indonesia with Twilite Orchestra. The latter was created around three decades ago and has collaborated with international artists like Natalie Cole and David Foster. Along with his team, Addie has performed globally, including becoming the first Indonesian orchestra to perform in Europe, such as Germany and Slovakia. Since the 1970s, Addie has also arranged and composed numerous creations from hymns to multinational company theme songs, international events, musical theatre plays, and many others, and counting at least three Anugerah Musik Indonesia (previously BASF) Golden Trophy Awards as the best music director. Addie has a roster of famous clients, such as the National Army of Indonesia, Agung Podomoro Group, and the 2018 Asian Games. Besides natural talent, the 1959-born learned his outstanding musical competence from studying in the US under the guidance of Jorge Mester from the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra, among others. He is married to singer Memes and has two sons, one of them is musician and entrepreneur Kevin Aprilio.
