Ace Le

Before taking the helm as Country Head and Curator at Sotheby’s Vietnam, one of the world’s most prestigious auction houses, Ace Le built an impressive academic foundation. He holds a Master’s in Museum Studies and Art Curatorial Studies, as well as a Master’s in Journalism and Communication from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, alongside a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Since joining Sotheby’s in 2022, Le has been at the forefront of Vietnam’s evolving art scene, curating groundbreaking exhibitions such as Timeless Souls: Beyond the Voyage (Hồn Xưa Bến Lạ) and The Faraway East: of Dreams and Pursuits (Mộng Viễn Đông). Under his direction, Sotheby’s staged its first non-commercial exhibition in Vietnam, a landmark event highlighting the country’s growing influence in the international art world. Le sees Sotheby’s presence as a testament to Vietnam’s potential as a future hub for global collectors and auction houses.

Beyond Sotheby’s, Le is the Founding Director of Lan Tinh Foundation and Editor-in-Chief of Art Republik Vietnam. He also serves on the Advisory Board for UOB Painting of the Year (from 2024), Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (from 2022), and the Vietnam Contemporary Art Database (2022–2023). A recognised figure in arts leadership, he was selected for the Australia Council for the Arts’ International Arts Leadership Program (2022–2023) and was a Scholar-in-Residence at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art.
