Aaron Chan

President, Riant Capital

 

Aaron Chan graduated with an MBA from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester in the US. In 2001, he joined Citigroup and worked in various departments including real estate, M&A, alternative assets, career development and asset management in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and other places for more than a decade. At the age of 32, Aaron became the youngest general manager in Citi’s real estate investment department and the funds under his management reached US$1.4 billion. After that, he joined Asia Pacific Land where he achieved various records which remain successful examples in current foreign investment circles. In 2013, Aaron founded Riant Capital, the sole Asian private equity firm headquartered in Taipei, where he currently serves as president. Riant Capital won the bid for Landmark A7 (the original Chinatrust Headquarters) in Xinyi District in 2015 and plans to develop it into Taipei Sky Tower; operation is expected to commence in 2020.
