For many gourmands, the wagyu katsu sando is the epitome of indulgence. The elevated version of the Japanese tonkatsu sandwich comprises deep-fried wagyu beef coated in panko bread crumbs and embedded between two slices of white bread slathered with tangy sauce.
While wagyu katsu sandos are found everywhere, nothing beats savouring them in their birthplace of Japan.
