Although nasi padang (or padang rice) has its roots in the city of Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia, it has captured the hearts of many in Singapore due to its versatility. The meal typically consists of a serving of rice, which can be accompanied by a diverse selection of pre-cooked dishes such as meats and vegetables, as well as piquant accompaniments like sambal and chilli.
