Meet Danny Leong, Malaysia’s first Master Saké Sommelier

Hello,

For many, saké is the clear Japanese rice wine accompanying many omakase dinners. However, its long history, complex flavour profiles, and provincial distinctions between Japan’s 47 prefectures make it one of the most intriguing and complex alcohols on the market. With that being said, dissecting and mastering the intricacies of saké is no easy feat. To find out more about what it takes to be a Master Sake Sommelier, we spoke to Danny Leong M.S.S., Malaysia’s first Master Sake Sommelier.
