What Tina Leung loves about Hong Kong

We’re back, baby! With a fresh start for Tatler Asia, we thought we’d also offer our wonderful community a brand new Best of Tatler weekly newsletter. And we’re so excited to do so in true Tatler style: with pizzazz and a lot of heart.

We kicked off Art Month with our exclusive cover story with global superstar and Louis Vuitton’s new men’s creative director Pharrell Williams, who talked to us about A Journey Through Gems, his second auction on Joopiter, for which he co-designed a number of the lots with jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz. This was followed by our celebration of International Women’s Day and the amazing ladies in our Tatler community and beyond, including our second March cover star, Dee Poon, who talked candidly about female bonds, depression, and being raised by a single mum and a village of “girls and gays”.

Oh, and we had an exclusive interview with Kelly Mi Li of Netflix’s Bling Empire ahead of the birth of her first child, who shared with us Asian American designers to look out for and what her cast mates are up to. And Tina Leung of Bling Empire: New York also chatted to Tatler Hong Kong about what she is looking forward to when she returns to the city later this year—her first visit since before the pandemic.

We’re thrilled to be back, and hope you enjoy our first Best of Tatler newsletter. Happy Friday!

Hong Kong singer Moon Tang makes emotional music. “Whenever I cry, it’s in those moments that I feel the most alive. Having emotions is better than not feeling anything at all,” she says.

However, the Hong Kong musician, whose new album Water Comes Out Of My Eyes was released last month, tells us why she wouldn’t “describe the production process as enjoyable”.
