Asia’s Most Stylish 2025: Nazreem Musa is a fashion icon of our time

Nazreem wears Chopard Magical Setting necklace and rings, L’heure du Diamant watch, Ice Cube rings; Christian Louboutin shoes; Nazreem’s own suit

In this late stage of the attention economy, it can often feel that whoever shouts loudest wins. Our lives are dominated by quick-cut video, AI slop, five-second audio clips that are looped ad nauseum, public figure frenemies that feud and fight and micro-trends that go straight from your FYP to landfill.

Real power, then, is not in wresting views away from TikTok or consciously going against the grain but in quietly, confidently, following your own path. Not to be different or to be contrary, but just to be true to yourself and what you feel is authentic, beautiful and real. It’s a path Nazreem Musa has been on for years.

“I’ve been playing with fashion since I was really young, back in school even,” he laughs, backstage at our Asia’s Most Stylish shoot, his formidable height folded in origami-style.

AI, LEDs and microgreens: the new age of agriculture

Eshton Thomas of Babylon Vertical Farms speaks about the innovations reshaping agriculture

Eshton Thomas of Babylon Vertical Farms speaks about the innovations reshaping agriculture

Farming and agriculture may once have conjured romantic notions of sun-drenched fields and well-worn tractors, but today’s agriculture is scaling new heights—literally. In a quiet corner of the city, Babylon Vertical Farms is stacking trays of microgreens under LED lights in a high-tech facility that looks more like a data centre than a traditional farm.

At the helm is Eshton Thomas, co-founder and head of sales and operations, part of a new vanguard reimagining what it means to grow food in the 21st century.

His path into vertical farming was anything but linear. “It was all by chance, really,” Eshton says. Armed with a degree in Finance and Management but faced with a stagnant job market, he began volunteering at a friend’s vertical farming startup simply to strengthen his résumé.

To celebrate Nickson Auyong’s 40th birthday, an intimate dinner was held for 40 guests—each, someone who made a significant impact on his life. The theme, Nostalgia Unveiled: Mixtape No. 40, was inspired by connection to music, memory, and moments past.

Each course of the evening was paired not with wine, but with a carefully selected song, a nod to the time where mixtapes were meaningful love letters. The dinner was hosted at The Paper at APW, once a printing factory, transformed into an elegant venue paying tribute to the craft that shaped his journey.

Each guest received a custom-designed deck of cards, introducing the birthday concept and detailing each course by Apollo Dining, designed in collaboration with SONSatelier, his boutique packaging company.

Malaysia’s residential architecture continues to evolve as a fascinating mirror of the nation’s cultural dynamism and economic ambitions. This year’s homes show Malaysian designers tackling everything from abandoned single-storey houses transformed into eco-friendly retreats to standard terrace units reimagined with bold colours.

Architects are solving unusual site constraints with inventive geometry—like Ken Wong Architect’s cruciform layout for an awkward diamond-shaped plot in Bukit Damansara. Others are demonstrating that even standard terrace houses can serve as vehicles for creative expression. The Tatler Malaysia editors present their favourites —homes that reflect how their inhabitants choose to live.
