My Pet, My Family

Hello! This week, we celebrate National Pet Day by putting the spotlight on three Tatler friends and their furry pals. Pets don't just occupy the space in your home, but also in your heart. This is a sentiment shared by Valerie Ong, Hugh Koh, and Ally Mukhriz. Ong, for instance, loves her Shiba Inu because "it’s just lovely to have someone greet you enthusiastically whenever you get home.”

You'll also find pet-related stories in other sections. In Dining, we highlight five homemade pet food brands that deliver right to your doorstep. In Style, you'll find a list of luxury accessories to spoil your pets with.

Also check out our annual education guide and this year's theme is "Education as a solid foundation in life". We spoke to three university students on how they navigated life as a freshman, deep dove into the role of sports in schools to build a well-rounded individual, and provided a guide to planning a productive gap year, in case you're planning to take a break before making a decision about your future after graduation.
