Jennifer Lopez and Bollywood royalty: inside 2025’s biggest Indian wedding (which you probably missed)

Remember last year when the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding had us all glued to our screens, gasping at Rihanna’s performances and celebrity cameos? Well, in November 2025, there’s a new contender from India for the “wedding of the century” title.

In late November, the lake city of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India, transformed into a glittering playground for billionaires, Bollywood A-listers, Jennifer Lopez and Donald Trump Jr. The occasion was the wedding of Netra Mantena, daughter of pharmaceutical entrepreneur Rama Raju Mantena and tech founder Vamsi Gadiraju. As the couple exchanged vows in style, it quickly became the most talked-about celebration since, well, the Ambani extravaganza.

ROLEX X TATLER

Spotlighting the Rolex Awards Laureates and Perpetual Planet Initiative partners working for our planet’s health

For nearly a century, Rolex timepieces have journeyed with explorers to the highest peaks, the deepest oceans and the most remote frontiers of our world. The Swiss luxury watch brand’s enduring commitment to exploration has seen it accompany some of humanity’s most daring milestones—from New Zealand mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepalese Indian Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay’s first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953 to oceanographer Jacques Piccard’s record descent into the Mariana Trench in 1960.

As the challenges facing our planet grow ever more urgent, the spirit of exploration has evolved. No longer is it solely about reaching and discovering new frontiers; it is also about protecting them and ensuring they will still be there for future generations.

DINING

Your guide to Christmas dining in Hong Kong 2025

There are two kinds of Christmas diners in Hong Kong: those who want turkey, gravy and a nap by 4pm, and those who’d happily swap all that for raclette, seafood or an overachieving buffet. This year, the city obliges in style. From après-ski indulgence and Tuscan feasting, to Riviera polish, a Japanese izakaya spin and a German winter table, the season’s menus cover almost every version of “festive” you could reasonably crave.

Consider this your shortcut to the most reliable festive tables in town, so you can focus on who you’re celebrating with, rather than who’s stuck peeling the potatoes.

The first-ever Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ) unfolded on a fabulous October evening in Monaco, and Chanel’s Haute Joaillerie Sport collection stole the show, its Sweater Prestige necklace—a sinuous marvel in white gold, platinum, diamonds, onyx and 37.18 carats of emerald-cut emeralds—crowned Best Piece of the Year for its fusion of craftsmanship and brand legacy. Who could have scripted it better? This was victory, yes, but it was also validation for an event long overdue in a world where haute joaillerie has lingered too comfortably in the shadow of the watch industry’s GPHG gathering.

By summoning titans like Bulgari, Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Messika, Chopard and others to compete on excellence, creation, and innovation—drawing over 20,000 public votes no less—the GPHJ asserts Monaco as high jewellery’s rightful capital, compelling houses to evolve beyond billionaire trinkets into cultural provocations that pulse with today’s restless energy.
