Time to spill the horological tea

What happens at the world’s largest Swiss watch fair certainly does not stay there, and as your dedicated horological herald, Tatler GMT is here to dish the dazzling details. More than 50 luxury watch maisons gathered in Geneva at Watches and Wonders 2024 to unveil their latest masterpieces that blend traditional craftsmanship with mind-boggling innovation to nearly 50,000 watch aficionados.

This year, the fair wasn’t just about showcasing triple axis tourbillons or melodious minute repeaters. We also witnessed the return of the classic smaller case sizes, sautoir necklace watches and splashy debuts of bold new colours. And how can I forget to mention the poetic métiers d’art pieces

And oh, the buzz! From the celebrity sightings—yes, Jackson Yee, Kylian Mbappé and Gisele Bündchen were there, resplendent as the watches they endorsed—to horological workshops that took you out of the fair and into the city itself.

If there has ever been a time to keep your eye on the clock, it is now.

Other newsletter highlights this week:

I urge you, dear Tatler GMT readers, to luxuriate in our detailed reports—may they guide you to handpick your next favourite watch—and have a weekend that’s as grand as some of these complications.
