Raising standards
If you’ve watched Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022), the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon (2022) or Grey’s Anatomy, then you’re familiar with Cape’s work. The NGO, which champions AAPI artists and leaders, has been shaking up Hollywood’s storytelling for three decades. But the team tells Tatler there’s still work to be done on making representation more nuanced and global.
Paying attention to colourism or the authenticity of Asian stories in cinema—like Cape does—is just one way of embracing diversity. Other examples include shifting our consumption habits to include more vegan beauty products in our daily routine, offering delicious non-alcoholic drinks in our gatherings, and visiting some hidden beaches and villages we never knew existed.

Clym Evernden takes over Hong Kong for live art sessions

British artist Clym Evernden, who has collaborated with Hermès, Diptyque, Rosewood, Massimo Dutti and French stylist Carine Roitfeld, was in Hong Kong for a collaboration with Rosewood’s Carlyle & Co.
Tatler caught up with him before he started his work, which included painting a nearly two-metre-tall mural live in front of party guests.
