Two decades in fashion is no small measure, and for Jor-el Espina, a designer who began in Iloilo creating bespoke gowns for his earliest clients, the milestone arrives in grand form. This October 24, he stages 20 Design Anthologies, a sweeping 60-piece collection that embodies his fascination with volume, detail and extravagance. The show culminates a year-long journey of collaborations, capsule lines and creative encounters leading to his 20th year.

Months after KPop Demon Hunters hit Netflix, its fictional girl group, Huntr/x, continues to climb charts like an act that never existed only in animation. The soundtrack, equal parts neon pop and emotional confession, has become something of an anomaly. It behaves like a living K-pop discography rather than a film relic, keeping audiences (young and old) replaying tracks long after the credits rolled.

For a home to be truly sustainable, it should not compete with the landscape–it should stand in harmony with it. Such is the case for the Cove House, designed by the Brioarc design studio to work in tandem with the unique contours of the site. Upon stepping onto the property for the first time, the architects were captivated by its unobstructed proximity to the sea. “The sloping terrain initially seemed like a challenge, but it quickly revealed itself to be one of the lot’s advantages: it offered magnificent views from multiple levels,” enthused architect Pierre Briones.
