Since Rosanna Ocampo started her label 15 years ago as a budding designer fresh out of fashion school in Milan, she amassed a reputation as one of the most sought-after couturiers of the Filipina romantic. On-yee Ng is a professional snooker player who has made her hometown proud countless times. She rose to the top of her sport through talent and persistence, crediting the vibrant metropolis for always driving her forward. 

While tracing her humble beginnings in the district of Sham Shui Po, she muses: “Growing up in Hong Kong has taught me not to give up. Just like snooker, Hong Kong is all about movement; [it has a] kinetic energy that pushes you forward.”

Ng also highlights the support and opportunities available in the city, which have allowed her to travel the world and excel at her passions. All these underscore why Hong Kong is an appealing place to launch one’s dreams.

The city is positioned to be a centre for major international sporting events in the near future, with dedicated support from government policy and resources. Slated to open in 2025, the Kai Tak Sports Park will house a 50,000-seat stadium and other world-class sports and recreation facilities for events such as international football and rugby matches, as well as concerts.
