Despite being named the Malay word for ‘secret’, Rahsia should not be kept from any coffee aficionado’s radar. This humble and quaint café serves some of the best cuppas in Ipoh, including its Jingga (salted caramel latte), Debu (charcoal latte), Madu (Tualang honey latte), and Putih (latte).
For those who aren’t into coffee, order Semesta, a butterfly pea tea with freshly squeezed lemon.

A mainstay on the local coffee scene, Jln Theatre Coffee is a must-visit for any coffee fiends looking for their fix in Ipoh. Aside from its delicious food, such as the truffle aglio olio and Golden Chicken croffle, its menu also details an impressive list of filter coffee options with beans from Ethiopia to El Salvador.
It also offers bottled cold brews, both black and white, for those who need a cuppa on the go and tea and chocolate drinks for the non-coffee drinking crowd.
While many visit Aud’s Cafe for its selection of hearty brunch and lunch plates, including sandwiches and pasta, it is also not to be missed is its freshly brewed coffee. The charming and quaint cafe was founded in 2012 by a husband-and-wife-duo and is located in what used to be the iconic Ipoh Star Barber.
