Amid summer’s relentless heat, clear your mind and reset your body with cold plunges at these spots in Metro Manila

A cold plunge is more than an immersion in frigid water—it’s a ritual of reset. As the body submerges, one's breath catches, muscles tense and time seems to stand still. The shock yields clarity followed by a profound cool that lingers long after. Traditionally used to aid recovery and reduce inflammation, cold plunges now offer a striking antidote to summer’s swelter. In just minutes, this activity lowers your core temperature, revives the senses and offers a serene, invigorating escape from the sweltering heat.

If you’re ready to explore something new this summer, Tatler has rounded up some places to get cold plunges in Metro Manila.

Ice Bath Manila

Located in Bonifacio Global City, a team of experts is ready to guide you through your first cold plunge experience. The session typically lasts 15 minutes, with the water at 10 degrees Celsius. These are perfect for athletes and those seeking to revitalise their bodies after an intense training session.

Prime Studios + Recovery

This physical fitness centre is situated in Commercenter, Alabang, making it the perfect place to visit for those who live in the South. The studio also offers jiujitsu, Muay Thai, boxing and MMA, which make this cooldown even more worthwhile.

Renū Philippines

Renū Philippines was initially started by a group of friends interested in exploring the wellness space. Since then, they have evolved into a team staging ice baths at venues such as Kerry Sports Manila and Enclave Alabang—their social media platforms show where their next event will be. They often team up with Optima Wellness, which allows you to build your own ice bath at home, if you're ready to commit to cold plunges more often.
