Nawa Wellness
Located in Batangas, Nawa Wellness is a serene escape that prioritises and enriches your entire wellbeing
As our lives get mired in challenges and responsibilities, finding time to pause and reflect is a necessity. For that required rest and recuperation, check out Nawa Wellness. The resort is designed with nothing less than your holistic wellbeing in mind, from the food that you eat to the activities you engage in. Situated in Calatagan, Batangas, this hidden sanctuary is worth the drive.
“Nawa Wellness was born from a desire to offer more than rest,” Araw Hospitality Group Director of Marketing Vincent Fajarda explains. “Araw envisioned a wellness concept rooted in Filipino identity. In today’s fastpaced world, reviving this culture of self-healing within a natural sanctuary is not only relevant— it’s essential.”

Nawa Wellness, which takes its name from the phrase hiraya manawari (may your dreams come true), succeeds in providing an environment that attends to your care at every possible turn. From the moment you arrive at the Malabon House, its main reception area, you are welcomed by the staff with a simple ritual: you are blessed by incense while a flower pendant is placed around your neck, marking the beginning of your stay.
The resort offers various room accommodations, such as the Araw Villa and Ilocos-inspired Premier Family Room, which is able to cater to larger groups. Guests can enjoy more intimate spaces at the Malay Cabanas, the wellness suites in the Escolta House and rooms in Amadeo—each one providing a unique and distinct feel. “Our wellness suites are sanctuaries in themselves—designed for calm, surrounded by lush landscapes and built using sustainable materials,” Fajarda says. “Each room is well-appointed yet soulful, with curated art, soothing palettes and elements that invite relaxation reminiscent of home.”

Every day, Nawa Wellness hosts activities to hone your body and mind. Conducted by trainers and experts at regular intervals, guests can choose whether or not to participate. All mornings begin with breathwork and meditation at the yoga deck, located near the Malay Cabanas. Bask in the crisp morning air and the soft chirps of birds as you ready yourself for the day ahead. The nearby fitness studio is where all the high-intensity exercises take place. Here, a personal trainer will coach you through circuit training, weights and even a few rounds of boxing. One can also embark on a short hike toward the chapel, which is adjacent to two pickleball courts.
But it is in the resort’s wellness facilities that one can become whole. Lay back in the Himalayan salt room and enjoy a cup of tea. The time spent here offers precious moments of simple silence or deep introspection. Also available are dry and steam saunas to give your body and muscles much-needed relief. Lastly, feel your body’s tension disappear under the trained hands of a masseuse at one of their huts. Experience their signature Hilot Trilogy massage with your choice of a scented oil.
Dalisay Epicurean Wellness Dining is Nawa Wellness’ dining establishment, serving both Filipino classics and international cuisines. The traditional décor, solihiya patterns and open-air design deeply reinforce that prevailing connection to nature. Its menu boasts a wide selection of healthy options, from wraps and salads, to sandwiches and pastas. In the afternoon, this place also serves as the venue for a meal prep demonstration. The restaurant’s staff will blend a variety of drinks for the audience to sample, using fresh ingredients with a range of benefits. Guests can learn to prepare these beverages on their own, thereby instilling the importance of a well-rounded, balanced life even after their stay.

“We hope guests leave feeling rejuvenated—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually,” Fajarda remarks. “During their time with us, we invite them to embrace and carry a sense of aruga—sincere, heartfelt care.” Indeed, in those moments of calm when you can take a deep breath and unwind without worries, Nawa Wellness has accomplished its goal.
