Within the process, consultations are first carried out to understand every patient's concerns and expectations. Apart from the standard in-clinic consultations, Expatdental also offers the convenience of remote initial design consultations to create and show patients potential new designs virtually, thereby saving time. Next, the team uses diagnostic x-rays, videos, photographs, and intra-oral 3D scanners to gather scientific data and get a baseline of the patient's teeth and facial form. A Trial Smile is then created: a digitally-designed temporary clip-on prosthetic that can be worn over an individual’s natural teeth. This allows patients to test out their new smiles before fully committing to a design, thus reducing the possibility of disappointment or mismatched expectations.
