Discover how Charlotte Ong overcame chronic eczema to build a high-performance collagen brand, Orilogy

Adversity often serves as a powerful catalyst for change, inspiring us to innovate and redefine our paths. This rings true for Charlotte Ong, the founder of Orilogy, whose personal battle against chronic eczema not only reshaped her life but also laid the foundation for a company dedicated to natural beauty and wellness.

At the age of 24, with no prior experience but a heart full of courage, she co-founded StoriiGroup. Her vision was ambitious yet clear: to bring high-quality foods to Malaysia and enhance people’s lives. Despite the challenges that come with inexperience, her relentless determination drove her to scale the business from the ground up, transforming it into an eight-figure enterprise and overseeing the growth of four companies along the way.

However, her entrepreneurial journey took an unexpected turn due to a personal health crisis.

“Battling chronic eczema, I experienced first-hand the limitations of conventional treatments with drugs and embarked on a self-healing journey through natural means,” Ong recalls.

This experience ignited her passion for creating products that promote natural beauty and health, culminating in the launch of Orilogy, a high-performance collagen brand.

Eczema is a chronic skin condition characterised by inflamed, itchy, and often painful patches of skin. It can significantly impact one’s quality of life, leading to physical discomfort and emotional distress. Conventional treatments typically involve topical steroids and antihistamines, which can have long-term side effects and often provide only temporary relief.

For Ong, the worsening of her eczema symptoms marked a turning point. “As my eczema worsened, I transitioned from sales to marketing, dealing with severe symptoms and struggling with feelings of hopelessness,” she says.

The prospect of lifelong dependency on medications was daunting, propelling her to explore alternative healing methods. Through rigorous lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and a relentless pursuit of natural remedies, she ultimately managed to overcome her condition.

“This challenging period empowered me to create better health and food products for others, armed with the knowledge to help those facing similar challenges,” Ong adds.
