Hotel Toranomon Hills is one of the many properties under The Unbound Collection that offers a plethora of unique experiences to captivate its travellers

There’s always a reason to visit Tokyo, whether it is sightseeing or indulging in Japanese cuisine. Its hospitality scene is also unmatched thanks to the Japanese way of providing immaculate service. For those who enjoy exploring the different types of accommodation available in Japan, the highly anticipated Hotel Toranomon Hills has officially opened within the new Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Tokyo. The latest hotel marks the first property in the city under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotels.

First established in 2016, the Hyatt collection offers a portfolio of independent and premium hotel properties around the world—think historical urban gems, boutique properties and resorts with each property having their own unique brand identity. For example, La Zambra in Spain takes cues from its rhythmic flamenco origins while Panama City’s Hotel La Compania is a living museum situated alongside the ruins of a 300-year-old church.

According to Hyatt’s group president of Asia Pacific David Odell, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt compiles “one-of-a-kind hotels that inspire stories worth collecting”. Currently, the collection has 42 open hotels spread across 39 cities, each providing a distinct guest experience. This is done by incorporating local flair into each property—whether it be through interior design or cultural elements.

These full-service hotels are also exclusively luxury properties that streamline its operations to provide guests with a deeper and more personal experience. Unlike other hoteliers, greater support and attention are given to each of the collection’s individual properties and owners, due to its relative scale.

For Hotel Toranomon Hills, it’s a cosmopolitan launchpad in the city’s newest business hub. Apart from being a prime spot to stay for those on business, the hotel is also a stone’s throw away from various shopping, dining and entertainment hubs, including Ginza and Roppongi, and within walking distance to iconic historical landmarks like the Imperial Palace. The hotel is an ideal home base for any traveller, allowing guests to discover unique experiences in Japan.

When it comes to rooms, guests are in for a treat as the hotel offers 205 stylish rooms and suites that offer views of the city or the Tokyo Tower. Guests staying at the hotel will also have access to The Lounge, a multi-functional space that overlooks the Tokyo city. Here, you can take advantage of its showers, co-working spaces and private relaxation areas.

The latest hotel also offers an immersive casual fine dining restaurant and cafe, Le Pristine Tokyo. Helmed by Sergio Herman, this will be the Dutch chef-entrepreneur’s Asian debut. Gourmands will get to dig into contemporary European cuisine with a cosmopolitan flair. Look forward to dishes like the Orecchiette Zeelandaise, a classic Le Pristine dish that brims with fresh seafood.
