The third hotel in The House Collective, The Temple House is inspired, landscaped and built by and for Chengdu’s heritage and landscapes.
The Bitieshi
One of its star venues, the Bitieshi, is a centuries-old Qing Dynasty courtyard has been painstakingly restored, reinforced from within with new and contemporary designs. It retains the classic layout of a si-he-yuan or Chinese quadrangle used for a host of residences from modest family homes to imperial palaces. Its traditional brickwork, wood carvings, timber ceilings and floors, step stones, overhanging roofs and flying eaves have been sensitively restored, preserved and enhanced by artisans to now hold meeting suites.
The Penthouse
Exquisite contrasts of old and new, traditional and modern, greet you as you journey through the rest of the hotel. It is open and fluid, with spaces and passageways that flow from one area to another. Each of its rooms, suites, penthouses and residences brings together contrasting elements with design that reflects the Daci Temple for which the hotel was named.
The Temple Cafe
Dining at The Temple House is a diverse affair with cuisines from a widely international heritage. The Temple Café presents a menu of Chinese, Western and Asian cuisine. Tivano serves up regionally inspired Italian cuisine in a breathtaking restaurant of rich European influences. For a spot for drinks in the evening, Jing is a fashionable speakeasy-style bar with expertly mixed delicious drinks and classic cocktails.
