Speaking of hotels that honour culture and tradition, The Lana has opened in Dubai and offers rooms inspired by the rich cultural influences in the UAE.
Prefer travelling away from the sweltering heat? The newly opened Nozo Hotel offers activities and experiences for all seasons. Meanwhile, those who enjoy an occasional game at the casino should visit Crown Sydney, its casino has just reopened.

1. Crown Sydney

This hotel has unveiled its revamped casino experience, complete with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that overlook views of the iconic Sydney harbour. Open for those over the age of 18, the newly refreshed space features an outdoor gaming area, additional table games in the private Sky Salon and a new menu at restaurant Mahogany Lounge. Do note that while the casino is only open to members, it is free to join—it’s best to apply before you visit.
2. The Lana, Dubai

Luxury hotel company Dorchester Collection has opened its first hotel in Dubai. Located along the Marasi Bay Marina, the waterfront hotel overlooks the Burj Khalifa. Check into one of its five signature suites which feature a private outdoor terrace, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, sweeping views and more. Rooms are inspired by the rich tapestry of cultural influence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The hotel is also home to eight restaurants and mixology concepts, and a Dior Spa. The first in the UAE, the Dior Spa sees a range of treatments, including the Dior Skin Light LED therapy mask, Dior Stone Therapy and Dior Micro-Abrasion.
3. Nozo Hotel

If you’re looking to catch the last of the snow season, book a stay at the newly opened Nozo Hotel in Furano. A short walk from the Kitanomine ski and snowboard zone, this chic resort hotel is complete with spacious hotel water baths, ski lockers, a spa and more. Its rooms are designed with natural colours and materials that celebrate local culture, adventure and nature—think light wood tones, calm grey stone floors and blue-toned bathrooms. The hotel is a retreat for all seasons, with activities such as biking, hiking and water rafting available in the summer.
4. Soneva Fushi

Explore health and wellness at Soneva Fushi as its Soul Festival returns this October. The soul-searching festival’s second edition will see discussions on the future of wellness through panel discussions, keynote addresses, engaging workshops and curated activities such as meditation, yoga and fitness boot camps. Guests will also get to join in on a wholesome and nourishing dining experience that puts the spotlight on plant-based and adaptogenic foods that help to promote balance and restoration.
5. The Apurva Kempinski Bali
This year, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is celebrating the Indonesian way of life with a year-long campaign, ‘Powerful Indonesia: Bhinneka Tunggal Ika’. The campaign will see a series of guest experiences that pay tribute to the nation. Some experiences include holistic treatments that combine time-honoured rituals and skilful techniques; culturally-themed traditional games; and arrival rituals.
