This week, the hospitality industry is witnessing an exciting wave of new openings and transformations, with a collection of stunning hotels set to enhance the luxury travel experience.
For one, The Sira in Lombok, Indonesia, is poised to open in Q4 of 2024, offering a serene sanctuary that harmonises with its natural surroundings. In Hanoi, Capella’s Senses of Capella returns for its second edition featuring an array of immersive experiences. Two properties have opened in China: Conrad Chongqing and Mandarin Oriental Qianmen. The former is Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ first property in the city while the latter is nestled within Beijing’s historic Hutong neighbourhood.

Hilton has announced the opening of Conrad Chongqing, its first Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Chongqing. The newest property is located in the heart of the Nan’an District and is surrounded by natural attractions steeped in culture and history. Its convenient location is perfect for both business and leisure travellers with the property near the International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Jiefangbei commercial district and Yangtze River Cableway. The hotel also boasts 275 rooms featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking stunning mountain views.

Capella Hanoi is set to host the second edition of Senses of Capella. From October 17 to 20, embark on an immersive experience celebrating culture, cuisine and wellness. Anticipate a vibrant line-up of activities featuring culinary masters, wellness experts and cultural mavens from various Capella destinations. Throughout the four-day celebration, engage in unique experiences ranging from Vietnamese fan art workshops to collaborative dinners featuring Michelin-starred chefs. Wellness sessions will also be available, focusing on holistic practices such as sound healing and herbal remedy crafting.
4. Lanson Place Causeway Bay

Following a comprehensive transformation by French “master of luxury” Pierre-Yves Rochon, Lanson Place Causeway Bay has reopened with the debut of six penthouse residences, offering guests a sophisticated home-away-from-home experience along Hong Kong’s vibrant Causeway Bay. These lavish penthouses are designed with a light colour palette and feature an open-plan living and dining area, luxurious bedrooms and oversized windows.
