Spread across 72 hectares on the fringe of Volcanoes National Park, the lodge features eight sustainable suites designed according to the natural contours of the land, while Kataza House hosts four suites in its exclusive-use villa.

Meticulous attention is paid to meet Singita’s eco-conscious principles, from the building materials—mostly sourced from the immediate Musanze district—to the energy and water systems.

An ode to the local culture and the beauty of gorillas, the suites boast bold and striking interiors, with a vivid palette inspired by the natural landscape of mountains, volcanoes, and lakes. Local artisans were also engaged to craft its volcanic walls, woven ceilings and hand-fired terracotta brickwork.

It goes without saying that a stay at the lodge isn’t complete without gorilla trekking at the Volcanoes National Park, where you can experience “a humbling encounter with the gorillas”.
