It is just ten minutes away from Rwanda's famous Volcanoes National Park
An award-winning hospitality and conservation brand based in Africa, Singita adds two new properties to its portfolio of ecotourism lodges and camps this month with the opening of Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House in Rwanda.
The brand’s first foray into the East African country, Singita is also bringing its ethos of wildlife preservation and protection into Rwanda. The lodge is supporting the conservation of endangered mountain gorillas by committing to extensive reforestation initiatives in the region. It has provided approximately 250,000 indigenous flora from its on-site nursery, Akarabo, to date.
This commitment to sustainability is also reflected in the architecture of the property, designed by Gapp Architects.
