Some days are meant for relaxation. In this write-up, Tatler takes you to the cosiest, most stylish rustic hotels around the globe

There's a certain type of comfort that rustic interiors bring whenever we're in the vicinities. The simple and homey theme represents a natural, rough, aged, and casual design that incorporates Tuscan, coastal, and cottage variations.

Rugged and natural, a rustic interior has the power to remind us of the good old times in the countryside. It invites us to drop all the tension we acquired from the bustling city and just snug in the most comfortable places of the room.

Below are rustic places around the world where you and your loved ones can stay for the night:

1. Casa Olivetta, Italy

Puglia's Valle d'Itria in South Italy has many captivating views, especially in the towns of Cisternino and Ostuni, an area with whitewashed houses, roads framed with dry stone walls, rolling hills, and centuries-old olive trees and trullo cones.

Somewhere in this seemingly cinematic place is Casa Olivetta: a rustic-themed lodge that offers a guest villa, two gazebos, and an outdoor area where guests can use a pizza oven.

The place boasts traditional stone terracing, reclaimed antico terracotta tiles that elegantly furnish the inside and lime-washed white walls that contrast timber.

2. Babylonstoren,South Africa

Babylonstrolen in South Africa promises to combine the "simplicity of farm buildings" and "style." The hotel is characterised by thick, whitewashed walls, beautiful gables, and fireplaces that emulate an authentic farm stay experience.

The place also offers garden cottages that take on a contemporary feel, thanks to brands such as Kartell, Magis, Philippe Starck and the Bouroullec Bros.

The rustic design aesthetic is very much prevalent in London's Soho Farm House. The place highlights rooms such as the "Piglet," "Farmyard," "Studio Cabin," and "Garden Room", which all vary in size and features.

The Piglet, for example, features a bed big and soft enough for two adult guests. The "Farmyard," on the other hand, measures 32 square metres and features a split double bed and rainforest shower.

As for the "Studio Cabin," guests will be welcomed by a veranda that overlooks the body of water surrounding Soho Farm House; it is also furnished with plenty of seating areas, wood-burning stoves, and a bath on the balcony. The "Garden Room," for its part, has a living area with a wood-burning stove and terrace. A roll-top bath sits in the centre of the room.
