It’s never too early to start planning for next year’s long weekend getaway
It’s time to get your travel plans for 2025 in order, as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has just announced the public holiday calendar for the upcoming year.
We’ll have a total of four long weekends, offering us the perfect opportunity to book a quick getaway without disrupting the work week or using up our precious annual leave. But, if you’re willing to part with a day’s leave, you’ll get three four-day breaks as 2025 also sees three public holidays falling on Thursday.
Below, we share the full list of public holidays to help you begin vacation planning for next year.

Public holidays that fall on a Monday:
- Hari Raya Puasa (March 31)
- Vesak Day (May 12)
- Deepavali (October 20)
Public holiday that falls on a Friday:
- Good Friday (April 18)
Other holidays:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Chinese New Year (January 29 and 30)
- Labour Day (May 1)
- Hari Raya Haji (June 7)
- National Day (August 9)
- Christmas (December 25)
