Capella Bangkok
The highly anticipated Capella Bangkok finally opened in early October, offering a window into the historic Charoenkrung district—a riverside enclave that’s currently undergoing a creative rebirth. Each of the 101 guestrooms, suites and villas has stunning views of the Chao Phraya River, as well as direct access to Charoen Krung Road, which is the city’s first paved road built by the order of King Rama IV in 1861.
Designed as a “traveller’s pied à terre”, Capella Bangkok aims to make guests feel at home while also facilitating a journey of discovery. See the city in a new light with help from the Capella Culturist, who can craft bespoke walking tours or arrange a private meditation session with the head monk of a 250-year-old temple. Don’t forget to reserve a table at the in-house restaurant Côte, a venue by celebrity chef Mauro Colagreco whose restaurant Mirazur in France topped The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019.
