The golfer breaks his own records as The European Tour’s oldest champion with his fourth win in Hong Kong
Miguel Angel Jiménez nabbed the title once more at the Hong Kong Open held at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling this past weekend. Aged 49 years and 337 days, Jiménez broke his own record as The European Tour’s oldest champion in a play-off with Thailand’s Prom Meesawat and Welshman Stuart Manley. Jimenez has won at the Hong Kong Open previously in 2005, 2008 and last year, making this year’s his fourth win.
The win did not come easy for Jimenez with both Meesawat and recent qualifying school graduate Manley on form throughout their rounds. With money on the board for all three in The Race to Dubai, it will be exciting to see what the next tournament holds for the trio.
