This year’s Gumball 3000 is particularly special, marking its 25th anniversary with a thrilling route through Southeast Asia.
Gumball 3000, the emblem of luxury and automotive culture, has become a global sensation since it was founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. Envisioned as a way to unite people through speed, music and culture, Gumball 3000 has grown into a celebrated cultural phenomenon, drawing global media attention and a loyal following.
Setting off from Ho Chi Minh City on 14 September 2024, the convoy will journey across five countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, over six action-packed days and nights. Along the way, iconic stops such as the Cu Chi Tunnels, the majestic Angkor Wat and the dynamic cityscape of Kuala Lumpur promise an experience rich in local culture and heritage.

Highlights abound, from the extravagant supercar showcase pulsing to the beats of DJs Martin2Smoove, Andy Purnell and CJ Beatz along Le Loi Boulevard on 14 September, to the historic moment at Angkor Wat on 17 September, where a Guinness World Record will be set for the largest supercar gathering at a Unesco World Heritage Site. Later that same day, Bangkok comes alive with a lavish music and boxing soirée at Central World. And on 20 September, American rapper Ja Rule will give an exclusive performance at The Exchange TRX Shopping Centre in Thailand.
At the heart of the spectacle are the cars, from timeless Porsche models to the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Huracan STO and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Leading the charge is the Lamborghini SVJ, driven by Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper alongside YouTuber James Walker, best known as “Mr JWW” for his popular supercar content.
Familiar faces from the digital world join the rally too. Australian YouTubers Lazarbeam and Lachlan Power will take on the course in a Land Rover Defender with fellow Brit Vikkstar from the Sidemen. Meanwhile, American car enthusiast DailyDrivenExotics (DDE) brings along a Lamborghini SVJ that’s earned a reputation as “the loudest Lamborghini”. Music fans can look forward to appearances from Ja Rule, Bun B and other stars, while sports enthusiasts might spot former rugby pro Jimmy Graham or baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. Representing Vietnam, rapper BinZ promises to add his own flair to the occasion.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments of the journey is the charity gala set to take place at Angkor Wat on 16 September. The Gumball 3000 Foundation, in collaboration with Christie’s, will host a charity auction to fund youth projects worldwide, from a floating playground in Kampong Kleang, Cambodia, to skateboarding gear for communities along the rally route.
The grand finale in Singapore will coincide with the F1 Grand Prix, culminating in the presentation of the Asprey’s Spirit of Gumball trophy, a celebration of the ethos behind the rally, all set against the glittering backdrop of Marina Bay Sands.
