Wally’s new wallywhy150 yacht: big volumes, small packages—same luxury

Last September, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, a new member of the Wally Yachts family made its international debut—and with it, your understanding of what you can expect from a sub-24-metre Wally might change forever. Wally, a yacht brand that has long been considered a benchmark of advanced design, made a big splash in the segment with its anticipated wallywhy150. The yacht is based on the same concept as the larger wallywhy200.

“Both models were conceived at the same time, five years ago,” says Wally managing director Stefano de Vivo. Following the successful debut of the futuristic-looking wallywhy200 in 2021, there’s every reason to be excited about the arrival of its striking smaller sibling.

Design decisions have created a highly liveable 23.99-metre motor yacht with voluminous interior and exterior spaces. De Vivo adds that “the wallywhy150 is a true ‘spaceship’, pushing into new frontiers for a sub-24-metre yacht.” The wallywhy150’s master cabin in the chiselled high bow on the main deck provides ample space to walk around its double bed and offers a sweeping 270-degree panoramic vista. Like the one level living areas found on the wallywhy200, there’s also a splitlevel saloon, with a 2.5-metre-tall ceiling, and a dining area that flows directly through an open cockpit to the aft beach club area, with its generous decked platform that can rise and drop into the water to allow easy access for swimming and water sports.

“The terrace-on-the sea is as ingrained in Wally’s DNA as carbon fibre,” says Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder and chief designer. The upper deck, with its hardtop canopy and plenty of space for loungers, also offers a great entertainment or relaxation area. There are different configurations of cabins and other interior spaces available, all with luxurious finishes, as you’d expect of Wally, a brand within the elevated and ever-stylish Italian Ferretti Group.
