You can now book a two-night stay on 'The Lord of the Rings' movie set in New Zealand
Thanks to Airbnb, you can now score a stay at Hobbiton, the mythical home of the Hobbits as seen in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Located on a farmland in Waikato, New Zealand, the rolling hills caught the eyes of director Peter Jackson when he and his team were scouting for the right location for The Shire.

Property owner Russell Alexander will host three individual two-night stays for up to four guests at only NZ$10 (about RM28) per night in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The experience will include accommodation with sweeping views of The Shire designed by art director Brian Massey who worked on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit as well as a personal Hobbit Hole to relax and have tea in. There will also be a banquet at The Green Dragon Inn and a private tour of the Hobbiton movie set.

Interested parties can request to book on December 14, 2022 at 10am NZDT (5am Malaysia time). Stays will take place March 2-4, March 9-11, and March 16-18, 2023. Only requests from those with a verified Airbnb profile, a history of positive reviews, and aged 18 and above will be entertained.
