The luxe hospitality brand presents special packages at three of its Bangkok properties for spectator-guests of the tournament to get into full swing at the games.

Polo will not be played on the backs of majestic horses, but elephants, at the Siam Polo Club this 27 to 31 August. Having outgrown the Royal seaside town of Hua Hin, The King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament will break into the heart of Bangkok for the first time this year.

Spectator-guests can catch 16 international teams and 50 Bangkok pachyderms compete trunk to trunk for the coveted champion title in this 13th edition of the charity event, which has raised over US$750,000 to better the lives of Thailand’s wild and domesticated elephant population. The tournament opens with a parade graced by Thailand television stars, supermodels and professional polo players, and will be complemented by activities such as Children’s Day and Ladies’ Day throughout the season.

In conjunction with the highly-anticipated tournament, organiser Anantara is offering hotel packages at three of its Bangkok properties – Anantara Baan Rajprasong, Anantara Bangkok Sathorn, and Anantara Bangkok Riverside – that come complete with pitchside spa treatments, pitchside lunches and bus transfers between the hotel and pitch.
