Unlike many drivers who began their motorsport journey in go-karts, Oscar Piastri’s first experience with competitive motorsports was through remote control cars. By the age of nine, he had already become a world champion, foreshadowing his innate competitive drive. Following this early success, he transitioned to karts and then cars after moving to Europe.

With his win at the Miami Grand Prix on May 4, Oscar Piastri etched his name in McLaren’s history books as the first driver since Mika Häkkinen in 1998 to win three races in a row. He is only the fourth McLaren driver to accomplish this remarkable streak, following in the footsteps of Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Häkkinen. This win further solidifies his standing as a leading driver in the current Formula 1 season, building significant momentum for both Piastri and McLaren.
