From curling prodigies to figure skating champions, the team is ready to make its mark at the 2025 Asian Winter Games

The Philippines may be a tropical archipelago, but that hasn’t stopped its athletes from carving out a space in the icy arenas of winter sports. As the Asian Winter Games return this February 7 to 14 in Harbin, China, the nation sends a large delegation: a 20-strong contingent spanning six disciplines.

From curling rinks to the demanding slopes of freestyle skiing, this diverse lineup is proof of the Philippines’ growing ambition to make a splash on the winter sports stage. While no Filipino has yet claimed a medal in this competition, the talent in this year’s roster—from seasoned competitors to rising stars—signals that Harbin might just be a turning point.
