Hyrox, the global fitness racing phenomenon, continues its Asian expansion with three major events scheduled for November 2025. The competition returns to Seoul on November 8-9, Shanghai on November 22-23, and Singapore on November 29-30, bringing the ultimate test of endurance and strength to fitness enthusiasts across the region.
Leading the charge as Hyrox's official MC and DJ is Ben Cullen, whose unique combination of media expertise and athletic background has made him the voice of the events across Asia. Over his 2.5-year tenure with Hyrox, Cullen has opened the competition in nine Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Incheon, Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei, Yokohama, Beijing, Shanghai and Mumbai. The upcoming Seoul event marks his debut as an MC in Korea's capital city.
Cullen's path to becoming Hyrox's hype man began with a diverse career spanning rugby, children's entertainment and broadcasting. A former semi-professional rugby player, he co-founded Rugbytots in 2017, a children's rugby programme operating across 40 Hong Kong locations. During the 2020 pandemic, his creative Facebook Live children's show caught the attention of RTHK media personality Alyson Hau, launching his career in radio and television.
Cullen brings unmatched energy to Hyrox events, creating an electric atmosphere that motivates competitors and entertains spectators.
LRC Charitable Foundation's inaugural pickleball tournament raises breast cancer awareness

The LRC Charitable Foundation, partnering with the Ladies' Recreation Club's Pickleball sub-committee, successfully hosted its inaugural charity pickleball tournament on September 29. This event was organised as part of the October Pink Ribbon Month campaign to raise breast cancer awareness and support.
The tournament attracted 84 participants from Hong Kong's community, including LRC members, guests and local players. Notable attendees included Chinese gymnastics legend Li Xiaopeng, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, and his wife Angel Li, who brought star power to the occasion.
The event raised crucial funds for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and its Breast Cancer Support Centre, which provides comprehensive services to breast cancer patients, their families and caregivers.
The tournament's success was made possible through generous contributions from numerous sponsors, including Stackd Pickleball and Wine Culture Hong Kong for dinner and wine, Pinnacle Performance for physiotherapy support, and over fifteen gift sponsors ranging from pickleball specialists to luxury brands and wellness providers.
The Pink Ribbon campaign continues through October 2025 with additional activities including Mahjong, Aqua Blast, Zumba, tennis tournaments and a silent auction, demonstrating the LRC Charitable Foundation's ongoing commitment to fighting breast cancer and supporting Hong Kong's most vulnerable communities.

Christina Gaw, managing principal and global head of capital markets at Gaw Capital Partners, has announced the formation of Nauticus Education Group, a new education holding company headquartered in Hong Kong. The platform will be led by Samuel Chan, founder of Asia-based education consultancy Britannia StudyLink, who has been appointed as CEO.
The venture marks a strategic expansion for Gaw Capital Partners, the multi-asset investment management firm that has managed US$35.8 billion in assets since 2005. Christina Gaw, who also serves as co-chair of alternative investments at the firm, described the launch as a "bold vision to leverage Hong Kong's reputation as a leading education hub" to build a comprehensive platform serving students and families across Asia and the Global South.
Chan, a prominent figure in Asian education consultancy, will spearhead the group's expansion across three core verticals: education services, K-12, and early childhood education. The platform aims to bring Hong Kong's renowned after-school programmes and consultancy expertise to new markets including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and the Middle East.
Herbin Koh, head of private equity and growth equity at Gaw Capital, will work alongside Chan to drive growth, leveraging the firm's global network and operational expertise to consolidate its education and social infrastructure initiatives through the new holding company.
As Content Director at Tatler Hong Kong, Tara shapes the brand's editorial vision across social, digital and print, and reports on Asia's most influential figures — from CEOs and leaders across business, style and the arts.
