As running events continue to evolve beyond personal bests and finish-line medals, Padma Run Bandung 2026 is returning with a renewed focus on something even more meaningful: creating a lasting impact on the community.
Taking place on October 4, this year's edition embraces the theme #LaceUpForChange, encouraging runners to turn every kilometre into a contribution towards a greater cause.
Unlike previous editions, Padma Run 2026 will be held exclusively in Bandung, making this year's race particularly significant as Padma Hotel Bandung celebrates its first anniversary following its opening in July 2026. Set against the cool highlands and rolling roads of North Bandung, the event is expected to welcome more than 1,061 participants, from first-time runners and families to seasoned athletes looking for a scenic challenge.

More than a race, Padma Run Bandung 2026 reflects the hospitality group's long-standing commitment to giving back. Organised as a collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the event brings together the entire Padma Hotels family, including Padma Resort Legian, Padma Resort Ubud, Padma Hotel Semarang, Resinda Hotel Karawang, and Padma Hotel Bandung, to support a shared mission of making a positive difference in local communities.
This year, part of every registration fee will be donated to Sekolah Pendidikan Luar Biasa (SPLB) Anak dengan Hambatan Intelektual (Tunagrahita), helping fund educational opportunities and developmental programmes for children with intellectual disabilities. It transforms the race into something far more meaningful, allowing every participant to support inclusive education simply by lacing up their running shoes.

"The hills and elevation changes along the course symbolise life's journey, filled with ups and downs that test our resilience and determination," says Desiree Merlina, race director and corporate director of marketing communications, Padma Hotels. "Just as every runner overcomes challenges to reach the finish line, we hope this event inspires participants to keep moving forward with optimism and purpose. Together, every step can create meaningful change."
Starting and finishing at Padma Hotel Bandung, runners can choose between a 5K or 10K course that winds through North Bandung's picturesque hills and tree-lined streets. The route offers a rewarding mix of gentle climbs, sweeping views, and fresh mountain air, creating an experience that is as enjoyable as it is challenging.
Every registered participant will receive an exclusive race jersey, a finisher's medal, refreshments, and access to sponsor activations throughout the event, while podium finishers will also compete for attractive cash prizes. Beyond the race village, the event promises an uplifting atmosphere where fitness, community, and celebration come together.
Whether you're chasing a new personal record, looking for an active weekend with family and friends, or simply hoping to support a meaningful cause, Padma Run Bandung 2026 offers an opportunity to do all three. It is a reminder that the most rewarding races are not always measured by time, but by the positive impact they leave behind.
