Known for her seemingly boundless creativity, visual artist Isabel Santos showcases her talents in her latest collaboration with IQOS
Curiosity beckons us to explore, experiment and discover extraordinary things. It is thus fitting that IQOS’ latest collaboration is with visual artist Isabel Santos, whose creativity is never hindered nor restricted, encouraging one to pursue beyond what the eyes can see. Philip Morris International and Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC), a subsidiary of Philipp Moris International (PMI), announces Curiosity Without Limits, a partnership that brings together boundless design, innovation and artistic mastery.

Santos’ designs are displayed amidst neon lights and dark hues at the RCBC Plaza, highlighting her techniques, creative processes and a style that seems to jump from one muse to the next. Several of her works were digitised and transformed into moving images on large screens. “These were part of my past shows,” Santos later explained. “It really felt like a retrospective in a way. It made me see the connections of my works to each other and how my works changed throughout the years.”
The central area is dedicated to showcasing her work on a series of limited-edition elements: Streaks of blue, white and teal along human figures twirl in a choreographed pirouette, broken apart by an occasional splash of warm orange. These are present on hand-painted IQOS devices, tote bags, pouches, luggage tags and magnetic snap wallets, adding a dash of colour and flair into our daily lives. For a limited time, IQOS users can also personalise their devices with exclusive designs of Santos at select locations in Bonifacio Global City, Mall of Asia and Glorietta.

Following opening remarks from PMFTC president Zhenya Ivanov and IQOS brand manager Henry Yap, Santos signed a piece of her artwork to officially commemorate this momentous partnership.
“Today, we’re excited to introduce Curiosity Without Limits, the next chapter in our collaboration series,” Yap enthused. “Curiosity sits at the core of how we innovate and design, which connected immediately with Isabel’s craft. Her creative process is always driven by constantly questioning what a canvas can be, and how an idea can take shape—which aligns with the values of IQOS.”

While IQOS is known for its sleek, minimalist codes, Santos has found a way to inject her signature, vibrant visual style. “When I normally work, there are no boundaries,” she explained. “But working with a brand means working under limitations; these limitations, ironically enough, opened more possibilities in what I can and want to do.”
Spontaneity and curiosity seem to go hand-in-hand for the artist. “My works are usually just my way of understanding myself, the feelings I have in the moment I create them,” she shared. “With this work, I followed the brand’s thought process of Curiosity Without Limits. Curiosity is part of my art practice and the willingness to learn ways to express myself through art.”
