Tatler honours style icon Heart Evangelista over a gorgeous dinner at Manila House
Our 23rd-anniversary cover girl, Asia’s Most Stylish Lady Heart Evangelista, was honoured with a dinner of unparalleled elegance, fitting for the country’s Queen of Fashion. The event was a rare and exclusive gathering hosted by Tatler and Manila House Private Members Club. The honouree, accompanied by her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, graced the occasion with her early arrival.
Despite the inclement weather and the fact that it was a Sunday, guests arrived in full force, eager to support Evangelista and witness the unveiling of the spectacular three-cover issue. The event began at the Bonifacio lounge with a perfectly curated spread of canapés and drinks in the foyer. Hermès and Cartier’s Stephanie Chong, Louis Vuitton’s Country Manager Gonzalo Nuche and Doris Ho also graced the event with their early presence.

The guests were then asked to step into the exquisite Rizal room and were met with an enchanting display of flowers arranged by Mia Cabawatan-Lozada of Bloomwoods. The walls were adorned with breathtaking photographs of Evangelista, captured by the talented French videographer and photographer Edward Berthelot during her Paris photoshoot.
The dinner began with a warm welcome from this magazine’s editor-in-chief, Anton San Diego, followed by a heartfelt speech by the managing director, Irene Francisco, and then by Senator Escudero. "We would have rearranged our schedules to attend this dinner, regardless of whether it was a Monday, Tuesday or any other day. Congratulations, darling, we are all immensely proud of you," Escudero said.
"Tonight, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has joined us here. I want to extend a special thank you to Tatler, Irene and Anton for this incredible opportunity. I have been doing this for some time and feel incredibly honoured to be featured on your pages. I decided to share this moment and month with Tatler exclusively, and I'm so glad I did. I am immensely grateful to my dedicated team, whose hard work and support made this all possible. Tatler's guidance was invaluable throughout the shoot, and despite the challenges, we pulled off amazing results. I truly believe that anything infused with love becomes a masterpiece, and I hope you can see that in these photos. Thank you all once again," Evangelista said.

Dinner was served, and the guests enjoyed the creations of chef Gilbert Pangilinan, starting with salmon sinigang, lumpia, a choice of USDA bistek Tagalog or hamachi inasal and to cap it off, avocado halo-halo.
The event was attended by various esteemed guests, including Tootsy Angara, spouse of the Education Secretary Sonny; Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, who serves as the Special Envoy to the UAE (United Arab Emirates); Drs Z and Aivee Teo, well-known dermatologists; eventologist Tim Yap and fashion designer Michael Leyva; Andee Que from Gucci, Tarrah Austria from Hermès and Jeanger Navarro from Louis Vuitton; plus Evangelista’s team stylist Iza Sim and part of her glam team Ghil Sayo.
For this special occasion, Patrick Da Silva, who serves as the market director of Singapore and the Philippines for Tiffany & Co, was also present, along with Pierre-Adrien Barreau, the communications director of South East Pacific, and Nikki Martel, who heads up communications and client relations in the country.
It was a wonderful gathering as everyone stayed on longer than expected. Of course, no Filipino gathering would be complete without the obligatory group shot. We also want to extend our best wishes to Evangelista, who heads up the Senate Spouses Foundation. We are always here to support you in all your endeavours.
